THE 7 DEGREES OF INITIATION 

The pattern of Initiation is an ancient archetypal system that  involves the processes of Life and of Time with definite stages or degrees. The pattern is similar to the Chakra system.  

There are 7 Degrees of Initiation covering the Lesser and Greater Mysteries of Initiation. 

The Lesser Mysteries concern spiritual awakening and the Mind. Each degree represents a quantum leap in consciousness. 

The Greater Mysteries concern higher consciousness, the heart and Soul, Adeptship, the Christ initiations and our own Mystery.

When an initiate reaches a sufficient purity of mind and body and when the stages of the Lesser Mysteries are satisfactorily mastered, then the initiate is allowed to pass into the Greater Mysteries and emerge into higher life and consciousness.   

The ultimate purpose is being that a Seeker of Truth enters into the Greater Mysteries and becomes an Adept, a Seer of Truth. This state constitutes the Second Coming.

This is done a step at a time and at your own pace, and can be experienced at various stages of development, various degrees of initiation, adeptship and mastery, and accomplishment. 

The key to doing this well lie in our love, dedication, humility, receptivity, responsiveness and creativity. 

The Path of Initiation follows the cycle of Nature with its four seasons and four elements. 

Each season has its orientation, element, purpose, influence, power and initiation. 

As the wheel turns and draws the various elements within us and from Nature, it becomes a natural transmuting 'machine.'

The wheel spins the elements into a vortex, bringing them into a balance and harmony. At the same time, it does the work of transformation and transmutation.

The alchemical fusion of the elements within us and in Nature releases the Fifth Element, the Quintessence or Aether, the essence of the Soul, the beautiful soular form of light that brings an ecstatic joy and knowledge of Truth that bestows certain powers or abilities. 

In this way the human Soul is evolved.

It is an alchemical work. 

We will go into things much more gradually as we follow the program one season at a time and one solar power point at a time, so that they can be experienced deeply, and so that you come to know them well within yourselves.  

You will be informed about the initiation of the season and what it requires of you, in both Lesser and Greater Mysteries.

Naturally your understanding and ability will be tested as you move onto your spiritual path. 

Each initiation includes a mystical exercise to help you pass through the initiation of the season smoothly and successfully.

THE LESSER MYSTERIES

The three initiations of the Lesser Mysteries concern spiritual awakening and the Mind; Each one represents a quantum leap of consciousness.

0. WINTER – EARTH – Candidate for Admission – YOUR COMING – 

BIRTH – NEW BEGINNING 

It is a time of preparation, which is no initiation as such in terms of Soul consciousness.

This stage requires the development of control over physical appetites, excesses of food, alcohol, drug and sexuality that impede your well-being. You can overcome these extremes through discernment, discipline, determination, self-love and self-respect.  

As a Seeker of Truth, you search the essence of your Soul, for more love and light, more beauty and truth, more understanding and knowledge, and timeless mystical experiences. 

1. SPRING – WATER INITIATION – NEOPHYTE –  Entered Apprentice – 

BAPTISM

This is the first initiation in the Lesser Mysteries. It requires the development of peace and harmony in the emotions; tranquility, patience and sympathy. You can accomplish this through spiritual discipline and self-purification. You may encounter temptations and struggles with opposites polarities and psychological challenges.    

2. SUMMER – AIR INITIATION – DISCIPLE  

TRANSFIGURATION 

This second initiation in the Lesser Mysteries requires the development of purity and harmony of thought. A shift into an enlightened state of being and illumination of the mind. Expansion of consciousness and awareness. Increase understanding of the causes behind the effects and currents global events.  

3. AUTUMN – FIRE INITIATION – INITIATE 

CRUCIFIXION 

This third initiation in the Lesser Mysteries requires the development of latent powers of love and compassion. Self-sacrifice, an offering of oneself, one's heart. Complete surrender of the Ego. Freedom from the constraints of form. You become more universal with an expanded identification with your Soul; thus with the Universal Soul of God. 

The Heart Initiation is the threshold and midpoint between Heaven and Earth, between the Lesser and Greater Mysteries.  

The Heart is the point of balance, harmony, power and manifestation.

In the Christianity, the Greater Mysteries begin with Resurrection at the full Moon of the lunar festival of Easter, after the crucifixion of the lower self.  

At the Winter Solstice we celebrate  the solar festival of Christmas, the festival of Light and Re-Birth. 

It is at the Heart Initiation that the Christ Consciousness becomes active and made known. Thus this initiation is associated with the Second Coming and Seership. 

This initiation is about emergence and transmutation of energies into higher life and consciousness. Preparation for a higher function and work. 

THE GREATER MYSTERIES 

The three initiations of the Greater Mysteries concern the heart and Soul, the Christ initiations and our own Mystery. 

5. SPRING – WATER INITIATION – MASTER

ASCENSION 

The Adept enters into the Greater Mysteries and Christ initiations. This initiation is about illumination and God's Will. Increasing mastery of life and transmutation of energies. The Adept learns to become a true Master.  

6. SUMMER – AIR INITIATION – GUARDIAN 

UNIFICATION

Discovery and knowledge of the spiritual Plan, the divine Law or Truth in order to fulfill it. This initiation is known as the stage of the Guardian of the Holy Grail.

7. AUTUMN – FIRE INITIATION – CHRISTED ONE 

ENTHRONEMENT 

Illumination and union with the Christ Spirit through Divine Love,  Fire and Ӕther.  

The Master experiences a fusion of light that reveals the Blazing Christ Star, as it descends into the Soul via the heart bringing illumination to the mind.

That's when the Mystical Marriage takes place. It is an Alchemical work of the mind and heart that releases sparks of fire around the head and brings illumination. The Master becomes a Seer of Truth and Mediator of the Christ Light.

On the highest level of Mastership, this seventh initiation is that of the fully illumined or Christed Soul, such Master Soul comes at special times of need and opportunity for evolution.  

 
MASTER SOUL  

Christ is a title given to one who is illumined in the fullest sense possible with the Light of God.

All Master Souls form the Christ Consciousness known as the Heavenly Jerusalem. The non-Christian mystics prefer to use the term of Cosmic Consciousness, because it is more universal and represent the Masters of all Traditions. There is but one Soul – The Universal Soul of God.  

I believe that in the New Age and New Great Age in which we are entering, Christ Light will quicken many. This is known as the Second Coming.

The First Coming related to the Good Shepherd or Christ Soul who came down to Earth to teach and guide us through the Path of Initiation.

The Christ, in the heart of each of us, is lovingly waiting for our coming so that we may return to the Source of Life as illuminated beings.
